> VERSUS Litepaper v1.0
VERSUS is a 120-second 1v1 trading duel between two players on the same simulated chart, with the same rules and the same timer. Instead of trading alone on a terminal, you queue into defined matches, climb 9 divisions, and play ranked seasons. Built on Solana, fully non-custodial, settled on-chain.
For most active traders, the current experience breaks down for the same reasons every time:
VERSUS defines trading as a match, not a lifestyle:
A standard duel follows a tight, repeatable structure designed for short sessions and long climbs:
The whole loop is built so you can play a single duel on a lunch break or grind a full session — never a 5-hour grind to see results.
VERSUS runs two separate ranked ladders that share the same 9-division ocean-themed identity:
In-game currency only, no real money. Same duel rules, but risk-free. Used to learn, experiment with power-ups and climb for bragging rights. Progression tracked in Cups.
Default starting balance: 10,000 DIGITZ. Earnable through Solo mode, Vs Bot, daily challenges and minigames.
Same game rules, but with real USDC at stake. Fixed stakes per arena, hard caps by design. On-chain escrow via dual-authority Anchor program on Solana. Progression tracked in Crowns.
9 arenas with stakes: $1 / $5 / $10 / $25 / $50 / $100 / $250 / $500 / $750. Non-custodial end to end.
9 Divisions (both ladders share the same names):
Crown floor protection: players in Plankton or Shrimp do not lose Crowns on a loss — the first two divisions are safe learning zones. From Fish onward, every match counts both ways.
Crown math per Competitive win: +30 base + (division_index × 5). Losses: −20 Crowns (Plankton/Shrimp excluded).
VERSUS ships with a full catalog of formats so you never run out of variety. Each mode has defined rules, stake type, progression, and win conditions.
Power-ups are deployable items that shift the pace of a duel. Each player starts with 3 loadout slots (5 in Power-Up Frenzy), earned through progression, shop, or season pass rewards.
Power-ups have cooldowns and cannot be spammed. Each use is logged on-chain for Competitive matches as part of the audit trail.
Every Competitive match charges a 10% fee on the total pot. The on-chain Anchor program splits this fee automatically, transparently, and verifiably on Solana:
Stakes per Competitive match are fixed: $1 · $5 · $10 · $25 · $50 · $100 · $250 · $500 · $750 — distributed across 9 arenas gated by division and Crown thresholds to keep matches fair.
VERSUS doesn't target "retail investors." It targets four very specific audiences:
VERSUS is a competitive trading game, not an exchange, broker, or investment platform. It does not take custody of your assets at any point.
Playing Competitive means you can lose 100% of the funds you choose to risk in that match. Nothing in VERSUS constitutes financial advice. Play responsibly, within means, and only with what you are comfortable losing.
VERSUS is live and playable today. The 2026 roadmap expands the ecosystem from a trading duel into a full competitive meta-layer with spectating, prediction markets, community tournaments and team warfare.
Every roadmap item is additive — existing ladders, modes and progression remain untouched. New features expand the meta, they don't replace what works.
VERSUS is built and operated by a properly structured corporate entity with registered intellectual property protections for both the brand and the game mechanics.
